Funny Valentine's Day Wishes from Kids

February 14^th - St. Valentine’s Day. A fun and romantic time for giving greeting cards sprinkled with sentimental thoughts with those you love.

Every year my best friend Rose, a primary school teacher at a private academy, shares with me ten funny Valentine’s Day wishes that she and her colleagues collect from kids from the ages of five to eight years old.

As an art project the kids select a name of someone in their class from a large bowl on the morning of February 14th, and are then given the materials they need to make a Valentine’s Day card for that person. The cards are then placed on each student’s desk after lunch along with a small gift from the card giver.

Fortunately, the teachers have time to have the kids edit some of their remarks before the actual card is given!

Here are the top ten funniest and cutest Valentine’s Day wishes of all time:

Dear Valentine, I really like you, big nose and all. ~ Danielle, 5 years old.

Dear Valentine, Just because I gave this to you doesn’t mean that I am going to kiss you; because when people kiss for the first time they fall down and don’t get up for at least an hour. ~ Nathan, 6 years old

Valentine, I really don’t like you, but my Dad said I that I have to be nice to you and give you this box of animal crackers. Mommy told him to tell me that and my mom is always right. ~ Shelly, 7 years old
